I found my way into occupational therapy somewhat by chance, but quickly came to appreciate the meaningful connections it offers with client’s, each with their own story. My decision to move into life care planning was more intentional, and was shaped by personal experience after my father sustained a catastrophic injury and required a plan to address his long-term needs. That experience highlighted the importance of thoughtful, individualized recommendations. I find that taking the time to genuinely listen and understand each individual’s experience allows me to capture their story fully, resulting in reports that are both realistic and reflective of the supports required to live a full and meaningful life.

On a personal note, my favourite thing to do is travel with my husband and two children. If we don’t have a trip booked, you can guarantee I’m deep in researching where we should go next. So long as I have room in my suitcase for gallons of sunscreen, I’ll go almost anywhere!
